FLEX has a dedicated team of instructors who are passionate about health and fitness and strive to help make every single one of our members the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves. Our focus is on the safe and effective development of strength, endurance, flexibility; essentially an overall healthy mind and body. Both of our FLEX instructors have a long list of qualifications, many years of academic study and an intense passion for what we do.

KAYLA ELS

As a dancer and classical ballerina exercise has always been a central point around which Kayla lived her life so when she was first introduced to Pilates while completing her Human Movement Science degree at the University of Pretoria she instantly fell in love with the exercise method. Kayla has genetic Spinal scoliosis and once pilates became a daily routine she was able to live life pain-free- it was this benefit it had on her that made her realize that Pilates was without a doubt her calling. She went on to graduate from UP as the top of her class, was invited into the worlds international honor society on academic merit and completed her BASI Pilates course- this qualification is held in the highest regard worldwide.

Kayla then opened FLEX in 2016 and continued to study further to complete her Pilates Equipment, Barre, Yoga, Rehabilitation, Anatomy and Physiology certifications. Kayla has since become a facilitator for teacher training and is recognized internationally for this. Kayla is known for her devotion to each individual and has trained and treated a wide range of people from elite athletes, inactive individuals, dancers, the young and old, the injured and the healthy. Her extensive training and passion for her work undoubtedly sets her apart from most instructors.
